Hair Restoration PRP Method Philadelphia, PA

Many patients come to us desiring to transform the appearance of their hair due to thinning or recession but they do not need or desire the FUE method of transplanting healthy hair follicles from one area of the head to another. Dr. Goldfarb and Dr. Shapiro have developed a unique and effective option for these patients using the same Selphyl®/PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections that are used as part of the FUE method to improve results.

A fuller head of healthier hair can be achieved through a series of three Selphyl®/PRP injections that are given one month apart in one of our convenient office locations. The injections are created using the patients’ own blood which is spun down and combined with Selphyl®, a natural filler that when combined with PRP will stimulate collagen production and cell proliferation in treated areas.

This unique treatment option is perfect for a patient with mild thinning who wants to restore the affected area(s) with fuller, denser hair or a patient who has cosmetic concerns but does not wish to be treated with the FUE method. During a consultation, your doctor will discuss your personal concerns, goals and expected results from this treatment option.

Results: What To Expect

“We see incredible results with “Selphyl PRFM” because it yields the purest Growth Factors and is suspended in a matrix to allow it to work at the site of need.” Dr. Goldfarb

It is important to note that all PRP treatments are not equal…

Dr. Goldfarb is highly experienced in the creation and implementation of Selphyl® enhanced PRP Growth Factors. He currently serves as the Medical Director for Selphyl® and travels the country to train colleagues on cosmetic procedures using this natural filler. For hair restoration, this unique treatment option can provide exceptional results with minimal discomfort and downtime.

The Selphyl® injections will be scheduled for three consecutive months, during which patients typically experience a 19.7% increase in hair density in the treated area(s).

The injections will stimulate collagen and cell production, resulting in a natural regrowth of hair that will be healthy and lasting.

By the end of the first year, most patients can expect to see a 38% increase in the density of hair in treated areas.

Full, natural looking hair will continue to grow from rejuvenated, healthy cells as a result of the Selphyl®/PRP injections.
